Cracked dry skin, swollen feet and ankles, callouses…..
All can be helped, reversed, or prevented with a few minutes a week of foot care. Don’t live with ugly feet.
If you have the luxury of bathing in a tub once a week or so, you are half way there. Or, have a few minutes to sit on the side of the tub, or relax with your feet in a tub of luke warm water. My preferred method is to sit on a shower bench in my shower. Or a foot tub on a towel in the living room while I watch some tv.
Soften feet by soaking or wetting, Tired Tootsies Soak is available in my shop, and it contains Epsom salts for reducing swelling. After a soak, massage in a nice sugar scrub, like my Exfoliating Citrus Scrub or Tropical Enzyme Scrub, for cleaning and moisturizing. Gently scrub corns, bunions, calluses, and heel cracks with a medium grit cellulose pumice scrubbie, like ‘Mr. Pumice.’ Dry with a soft towel and apply a good moisturizer like my Lavender Dry Heel Cream, or the Hawaiian Macadamia Body Butter. Put on a pair of cotton tennis socks to lock in the moisturizer and avoid slipping or getting cream on your flooring. Keep your toenails trimmed and groomed. Do as often as possible, when you can squeeze in 5 minutes for pretty feet.
I run around barefoot or in flip flops a lot, so I keep a pumice bar in my shower and at the least, give my heels a quick scrub every time I shower, and do my best to put on moisturizer before bed or while relaxing in the evening.
