ingredients:
3 eggs, room temperature, separated (best possible, this recipe is raw)
3/4 lb. powdered sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 cube room temp unsalted butter (best possible)
1/8 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp each of nutmeg, cloves, allspice.
Beat the egg whites with salt in a clean glass bowl until firm peaks. Set aside.
Beat the egg yolks in a separate bowl until soft peaks.
Finally beat the butter, sugar, vanilla and spices until smooth, beat in the egg yolks, then gently fold in the egg whites.
Keep refrigerated.
To serve heat either milk or hot water, add a heaped tablespoon of Tom and Jerry Batter, then add your choice of rum, brandy, or bourbon to taste. Grate fresh nutmeg on top.
